Everyone knows the Lang smokers are expensive but, you need to remember that you get what you pay for. Not only do you get a quality long lasting product but you get welcome into the Lang family.... When you call to ask the least or most important question you’ll talk to or get a call back from Ben Lang who treats every question with importance. That in its self is worth the money. This is a true American company that does not forget the customer after the sale. I’ve had my Lang for two years and everything I have smoked on it has been great. Using the Lang is a wonderful experience from tending to the fire and whatever you are smoking. Best of all the food. I have also enjoyed the Lang experience and support I have received from Mr. Lang and his people before ordering and to date.

Wow, service after the sale. I got my “60” in 2008. I brought it to Texas from Florida due to a job transfer and have had it parked in my backyard for 10 years. I have retired and moving back to... Florida, but no tag for my Lang. I had to have the bill of sale to get a tag to get it out of Texas, so I called Lang. Clairice dug through paper files to find my bill of sale and emailed it to me within the hour. Not only is the Lang the best smoker on the market but the Lang staff is outstanding as well. I did my research prior to purchase, and no matter which brand forums I went to, to search the forums for “which smoker should I get” someone was inevitably on each forum stating “just get the Lang... you won’t regret it”. Well, i did and I don’t. They hooked me up with a custom model 17 inches taller than normal so I could stand on my deck( 17 inches higher than my yard) and work the smoker at normal height. Not to mention the quality. My father in-law has been a welder all his life and he said, “that’s a solid piece of equipment right there”. Always nice when you can impress your wife’s father. Even the gentlemen delivering the smoker were as nice and professional as anyone I’ve ever met. You simply cannot say enough good things about Lang.read more

This review is in regard to the customer service, shipping experience and quality of product from Lang BBQ Smokers.

I had been looking for a new smoker and decided to purchase the 48 Hybrid... Deluxe Patio model.

Oct 12
Called Lang and ordered my smoker. I was told it would take a couple of weeks to build and they would let me know when it was ready

Oct 26
I hadn't heard anything from Lang about how my smoker was coming, so I called them. I spoke to their female customer service rep that answers the phones. She informed me the smoker was done. I had decided when I ordered the smoker to have them arrange shipping, since it was an 8 hour drive from where I live to their facility . Since I was going to be out of town some of the up coming week, she told me they would have it delivered the week of Nov 5 and that they would call and give me the delivery date. I had no problem with that, since that would give me plenty of time to use the smoker a few times prior to Thanksgiving.

Nov 5 - second week since smoker was ready to ship
Again, I hadn't received a call from them, so I had to call them to check on the delivery date. Spoke to the same woman and she informed me it hadn't been shipped yet, but that it was shipping this week and she would let me know once she got a date. On Thursday I called and speak to her and the owner this time. He informed me that they are waiting for another smoker to get finished and then they are shipping on Friday and as soon as they ship they will call and give me a deliver date. This is the very first time anyone ever mentions that these shipments are bundled. I expected, given the $600 cost for shipping and that no one told me differently, that these were individual shipments.

Nov 12 - third week
Monday, I hadn't gotten a call, so I call them. Speak to the owner, he tells me the other grill didn't get finished on Friday so they are shipping today or no later than tomorrow and that they would call. Tuesday late afternoon I call and speak to owner, he tells me they are loading up now and will get a call shortly on the deliver date, but will be this week no later than Friday. I never get a call so I call on Thursday and speak to the woman. She tells me they shipped and I should have gotten a call. She tells me she is going to call the delivery driver and have him call me directly. He calls on Friday to tell me that it will be next week before he will be there and that my delivery was one of the last ones on the route.

Nov 19 - fourth week, Thanksgiving week
At this point I was promised that the smoker would be here on Sunday. Then on Sunday I was told Monday. On Monday I was told Wednesday. I called and spoke to the owner on Monday and let him know I still hadn't received my smoker and asked if he would could do anything for me regarding a discount given how poorly this whole experience had gone. He told me he would call the delivery driver to see if he could get it expedited and would consider what he could do regarding my request. I never received a call back from him.

Wednesday Nov 21
Wednesday morning deliver driver calls and tells me he will be there that afternoon. 5:30 pm driver calls and says he will be there in about an hour. I tell him to keep going that I no longer want the smoker. At that point he tells me that the owner is willing to refund me $400 if I will take it. I agree and smoker arrives at 6:30 pm on a flatbed trailer with no packing material or shrink wrap. This smoker has gone from Georgia up to New York, through Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana to finally arrived in Tennessee. How do you think it showed up? Yes, rusty and covered in salt residue from the roads. The driver did provide me a can of paint to touch up the rust spots.

Monday Nov 26
Speak with the same customer service rep and she tells me she will refund my $400 to my credit card. Instead she accidentally charged $400. Still waiting on the $800 credit.

They are quality built smokers and if you spend time with one you’ll know why we are cookin on a Lang ! I have an older 84 and it a quality piece! The doors are well make and strong ( no warping) the... firebox is in great shape after years of use I just lined it with firebrick but it didn’t need it I just wanted to try it ! These smokers are like fine instruments the more you use it the better you get and you get to know them like an old friend ! Try to find one used if you think you can!read more

Bought a used 84 Deluxe for our Amvets Post and of last summer and Ben and crew rebuilt it for us. They did an awesome job, it was like new when I picked it up. They went above and beyond in this... rebuild doing more than we asked for. The Post uses this smoker to cook for Veterans, just did a cook for Memorial Day to honor our our Veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Over the past 7 years I have run, owned and operated a large and successful bbq food truck in south Florida. On an average week cooking over 600lbs of meat in two days time frame, we operated... Saturdays and Sundays only. We used two Land 108 Deulux models, one mounted in the rear of the food truck and another on its own trailer with a 60 inch char grill attached to the front. Since day one both of our Lang Smokers had preformed without fail, as they will continue to do for the new owner. The older of the two 108's would have to have had over 30,000 hours of run time conservatively. With a low estimate of over 250,00 lbs of meat smoked in our Lang Smokers, they are truely second to none!read more

Pick up Wednesday morning,got home Thursday morning (2:00am) she pulled beautiful except through Montgomery few bumps nothing major she hung on tight. Thursady morning got to work washed out it... stoked a fire ran it up to 300 sprayed water then did the process over again, after added a few more pieces of wood temperature got to about 225 and keeped it for roughly 5 hours..this morning got to work again Briskets is on, Ribs are on, links are in the warmer box with taters been going for 2 1/2 hours temp hanging @225....I'm going to love this thing found my new wife.....read more

I just returned from a deployment in the Middle East to find my 48" patio smoker tucked safely in my garage. Thanks to my awesome wife it was delivered before I came home.

I've been home less... than a week and have already seasoned the smoker and have a few cooks under my belt. I gotta say this is the most awesome smoker I've ever owned. So easy to control the temps and the meat that comes off the smoker is awesome!

This was my 2nd Lang BBQ Smoker, on my first trip down i didnt get to spend much time with Ben going over my smoker and yes i drove both times 7.5 hours down and back, this time around i was there... when they opened and Clarise told me Ben was out picking up some supplies but said to ask me to wait awhile for him to get back.The amount of attention and the amount of time he took to go over the unit was unsurpassed. Im in the auto industry and one of my salesman took the road trip with me and he said i should really spend that much attention to my customers as well and the amount of excitement was great not to mention my excitement I was the customer,,,lol. everyone at the plant was super stoked to be delivering another unit and it wasn't just buy it and roll on everyone made you feel like family and where super happy top have earned the right to call you a customer, that's why I'm a repeat buyer and will make that trip again its well worth itread more

I own a 36"patio and it doesn't matter what temperature I set it at 200-225-325 it holds perfectly every time. I started it one day with -5 degree temp with -20 wind chill and it held temperature... like a champ. Love my Lang just can't wait till I can order a larger one. I got my smoker on Tuesday evening and fired it up yesterday to season it. It went from 0-300 degrees in about 20 minutes and purred for 6 hours at 275 with a stick of hickory about every hour to hour 15 minutes.
